First blog post ever, hopefully it's epic enough to keep you all reading.
C and I went apartment shopping today. The first place we looked was really interesting and not in a good way. It was a pretty old house, dilapidated but not too bad. It had a really big front room for an apartment. Two smallish bedrooms and a good size kitchen. The killer for me was the bathroom. It was tiny and obviously hadn't been remodeled in maybe 25 years. There were 6 blue fish stickers on the bottom of the tub to prevent slipping. It honestly felt like a trailer bathroom. It was an interesting experience but it really had me worried about what we might find.
The other apartment worth commenting on was interesting as well. Side note - Interesting is a good word to use when there are tons of adjectives that apply. Anyway...
It was also fairly small. The kitchen was cute though. It has black and white checkered tile and a gas stove. That was a major plus for me because I was raised cooking on gas stove. That made me very happy. The bedroom was fairly large with a small walk in closet. The bathroom was what got me though. It was gorgeous. It had been recently remolded and we could actually walk around in it. It was so nice. On the downside, it didn't have a family room but being newlyweds with all our family close we won't be entertaining  much.
Apartment shopping with C really made me think seriously about being married. It gives me butterflies to imagine it! I am so excited. C was teasing me about how much of how domestic I'm becoming. Looking at different places makes it all so real. It also makes me want to revamp our wedding registry. Everything is starting to fly by. I can not wait for March to come! :)
